Cisco has developed the first enterprise level tablet.  This is important because the Apple model alienates and isolates users with iTunes.  Collaboration and group management of iPads is a nightmare, which is certainly behind Cisco's first comments found on the white page:
Delivers the enterprise-class mobility, security, and manageability required by IT organizations

One of the things I constantly asked is how do you pick a device, format, vendor, etc?  Well, one of the best things to do is to go with an established name with a reputation for great products.  Sony is getting into the tablet market.  Like every large tech compnay Sony has a mixed reputation, but knowing how hard the Playstation hit the game market, we can assume that their tablet may be the first to really challenge the iPad.  It will definitely be worth a look when it comes out.  Sony is a company that tends to either strike out or hit it out of the park.  There is not a lot of neutral ground for many of their products.  Just remember Betamax tapes and all the other Sony products that have gone extinct over the years.  But don't forget Blueray and Playstation.  This tablet is Playstation ready , which means it has a ready market.
